Lemongarden House

Die Insel Koh Lanta Yai liegt etwa 100 Kilometer südlich von Koh Phuket Island vor der Küste der Provinz Krabi in der Andamanen See. Die Insel Lanta Yai Island hat eine Nord-Süd Ausdehnung von etwa 38 Kilometern und ist etwa 8 Kilometer breit. Die Westküste der Insel Koh Lanta Yai besteht aus vielen aneinander gereihten Buchten mit feinem Sandstrand und dem kristallklaren Wasser des Andamanischen Meeres, das ganzjährig eine Temperatur von 28°C hat. Auf der Insel Kolanta gibt es zahlreiche Hotels, Bungalowanlagen und Restaurants, die Strände sind jedoch nicht überlaufen und man kann noch seinen einsamen Platz unter Palmen finden. Spektakulär sind die Sonnenuntergänge, die man mit einem Cocktail in einer Strandbar oder einem Strandrestaurant geniessen kann.

Die Ostküste der Insel Kohlanta ist mit Mangroven bewachsen, Landwirtschaft und Fischzucht sind die Haupteinnahmequellen auf dieser Seite der Insel Koh Lanta Yai. Von Norden nach Süden wird die Insel Kolanta Yai von einer bewaldeten Bergkette durchzogen, die etwa 200 - 300 m hoch ist. In der Ebene und an den Berghängen werden Kokospalmen, Ölpalmen und Kautschukbäume angepflanzt.

An der Nordspitze der Insel Koh Lanta Yai liegt der Ort Saladan, das touristische Zentrum der Insel Koh Lanta Island mit Banken, Supermärkten, Restaurants, Tauchschulen und dem Fähranleger. Von Saladan aus fahren die Fährschiffe nach Krabi und zu den Inseln Koh Phi Phi und Koh Phuket. Auch Ausflugsboote starten von Saladan aus zu umliegenden Inseln wie Koh Hai, Koh Muuk und Ko Kradan, wo einige der schönsten Tauch- und Schnorchelreviere Thailands liegen.

Im Süden der Insel Ko Lanta liegt der Ort Lanta Pier an der Ostküste. Lanta Pier, Lanta Old Town oder auch Baan Sri Raya genannt, ist die ursprüngliche Inselhauptstadt von Koh Lanta Island und war bis vor wenigen Jahren das Verwaltungszentrum von Lantayai. Heute ist der kleine Ort mit seinen über 100 Jahre alten Holzhäusern berühmt für seine auf Stelzen über das Wasser gebauten Restaurants, in denen gute Thaiküche und schmackhafte Fischgerichte angeboten werden. Der Blick auf das am Horizont liegende Festland der Provinz Krabi und die dazwischen aufgereihten Inseln ist einen Besuch diesesTeils der Insel Lanta wert.

Lemongarden House liegt an der Westküste der Insel Koh Lanta, etwa 10 Kilometer vom Hauptort Saladan entfernt auf einem Hügel. Die 4 Häuser liegen auf einem Areal von 13 000 Quadratmetern inmitten einer wunderschön gepflegten Gartenanlage, die zum Osten den Blick auf die regenwaldbedeckten Berge bietet und zum Westen den Blick über die Küstenlinie der Insel Koh Lanta Island schweifen lässt, die Weite der Andamanen See und die am Horizont aufgereihten Inseln Koh Phi Phi Island, Koh Jum Insel und die Küste von Krabi. Die Entfernung zum Strand beträgt etwa 1 Kilometer.

Lemon Garden Resort's Bungalows sind massiv gebaut mit isoliertem Dach, voll möbliertem Schlaf- und Wohnraum, Klimaanlage und voll eingerichteter Küche mit 3-flammigen Gasherd, geräumigen Kühlschrank und Geschirr. Die Zimmer haben etwa 45 Quadratmeter Fläche, Badezimmer mit Dusche und europäischem WC sind selbstverständlich. Ausserdem hat jedes Haus im Lemon Garden Resort eine grosse Terrasse mit Blick auf die Andamanen See und die Küstenlinie der Insel Koh Lanta Yai mit den Stränden von Khlong Dao und Phra Ae Beach. Haus 3 hat im Untergeschoss ein weiteres Schlafzimmer von ca 22 Quadratmetern mit Dusche und WC, welches über eine Wendeltreppe zugänglich ist. Das Zimmer hat einen separaten Ausgang.

Lanta Lemon Garden Bungalows sind preislich attraktiv und können pro Tag, pro Monat oder auch für das ganze Jahr gemietet werden. Die 1-Raum Villa auf der Insel Koh Lanta kostet pro Jahr 120 000 Thai Baht, das Doppelraum Haus kostet 180 000 Thai Baht pro Jahr. Bei monatlicher oder jährlicher Anmietung wird der Strom- und Gasverbrauch separat abgerechnet. Handtücher und Bettwäsche werden wöchentlich oder nach Bedarf gewechselt, die Säuberung des Bungalows im Koh Lanta Lemon Garden Resort obliegt dem Mieter. Alles in Allem ist der Lebensunterhalt auf der Insel Koh Lanta Island noch sehr preiswert und ganz auf europäische Küche muss auf der Koh Lanta Insel nicht verzichtet werden.
